Long time, no see! We've got a flurry of news to share here! While we are mostly active on our Twitter accounts, with how things have been going lately, if we don't post within 30 days of the previous post, our account could get shut down. We will try to make an effort to post major updates on our website as well to avoid potential loss of major news. First up, we have a new item in store: an acrylic standee featuring the entire JAE VOCAL PROJECT cast, made in celebration of our group's 5th Anniversary! It stands at around 2.5 inches and the width is around 6 inches. Each of the characters use their default outfits. This standee was designed by Mian; be sure to follow her for more amazing art! Unlike the other pieces of merchandise, this standee will only be available for a limited time and will not be restocked. The pre-order will run until July 1, 2023 at 12 AM USA Eastern Time. But as a special offer, here's what you'll get when you order a standee:
Next is in regards to the MMD models for Xiao Meihua, Ser0, Canary, and Xiao Shancha. We were aware that the download links for them were long broken. After speaking with Orahi, we were given permission to upload the models through our dropbox. That said, the links to the models have been updated on those characters' pages. Please be aware of any changes to his Terms of Use and to follow them accordingly! You also may have noticed that we've shared two new demos for Ser0 featuring her update known as "Ser02"! Ser02 will feature some new individual voicebanks, so we hope you look forward to those! Check out these two demos by Purpled! The first is a cover of "Chimera" by ATOLS, with the UST by half a head. The second is a cover of "Ponzi" by Kyoe. This uses Ser02's Appends "AWARE" and "PASSIVE". Hope you're looking forward to what we have in store for Ser0! Closing this out, May 15 is kEna's birthday! This year marks 3 years since he released on UTAU! We've commissioned Reishichi for his official illustration. Here he is among nature, looking as handsome as ever in this peaceful location! We hope that you enjoy everything we had to show lately! Things have been slowing down for a while now, but rest assured, we are still working on new stuff! Be sure to follow our Twitter to keep track of mini updates like anniversary artwork and songs!
Thank you for all your support! Until next time!

A long while ago, Migi provided Miis of the JAE VOCAL PROJECT cast for the 3DS and WiiU. Now, with the new re-release of Miitopia for the Nintendo Switch, Migi provided updated Miis with the new wig and make-up styles available in this version! Like the previous versions, these are his own interpretations of the characters and is not meant to be the official canon. It is entirely optional to use them and everyone is entitled to creating their very own if they would like to! If you are interested in using any of them, use the following code to import them: 8GGJBT. To watch them in action, Migi has began streaming on Twitch and YouTube. All videos are archived on his new YouTube Channel that's dedicated strictly for streaming and non-vocal synthesis use. Check it out here!
Affiliate characters are also present in the game, but will not be accessible. Like JAE VOCAL PROJECT, these are only Migi's interpretations and are not official. There are some who are currently not available in the gameplay but will be in the future. The only affiliate who is distributed is Reicheru Nintone. Her owner actually made the Mii available on Twitter! We hope you like them and enjoy using them yourselves if you'd like! There's so many things that are happening for February 2021! For starters, Canary and Xiao Shancha's 2nd anniversaries are taking place. Canary was released on February 2, 2019 and Shancha released on February 16, 2019. Because of this, throughout the whole month of February, customers can purchase Canary's and Shancha's keychains for 20%! If either character was someone you wanted to collect, now would be a good time to do so until the sale expires in March. For Canary, we haven't prepared an anniversary song for him. We do have some interesting plans coming, but they're not ready to be revealed just yet! Instead, we commissioned a piece from E.via and he came out stunning~! For Shancha, we do have something planned for her anniversary but it will not be revealed until February 16. In the meantime, her MMD model was just released by OSformula! The team collaborated with kimchi-tan (tuning) and Starchaser-C (video) in creating the MMD cover video to promote the model! MinaKi worked on the mixing! The song is "Gokuraku Jodo" which was originally performed by GARNiDELiA. Shancha's model is available for download now and the site can be accessed from her own webpage. If you plan to use her, please be sure to follow OSformula's terms of use. Remember that his rules may override our own (for example: if JAE VOCAL PROJECT allows NSFW, but OSformula does not, his rules are in effect, not ours). Lastly, we are sad to announce that Purpled, the manager and voice actress of Ser0 (JAE-02), as well as a longtime illustrator and designer of many of the cast members, has left JAE VOCAL PROJECT. She is interested in creating more of her own works, so she is still in touch with the voice synthesizer community, however, she ceased JAE VOCAL PROJECT activities. We strongly encourage that you continue to support her in her endeavors and we wish her luck! Due to this, the website has been updated to place Purpled under "Former Members" along with bajucy.
If you are curious, Ser0 is still part of JAE VOCAL PROJECT and will still receive merchandise if we come up with any new ones, but she will no longer be receiving any updates or new voicebanks. We hope you still like her as she is and look forward to any plans we may have in regard to songs or items!
The full PV for "ANTI THE∞HOLiC" featuring kEna and Kurone Shou is now available! It was originally written by cosMo and this cover was done entirely by Preuss!
This PV is also available on bilibili and Niconico.
kEna had many different songs for his pre-release demos, but not all of them have PVs. Whether or not they will receive one depends entirely on Preuss's decision. But for now, please enjoy this one!
On another note, Xiao Meihua received a second LipSync model! This time, it's by partialkakera! It can be downloaded through her webpage, and if used, please credit partialkakera for the model.
We still have more projects to come in the following weeks. Please look forward to that!
A new LipSync model is now available! It's of Xiao Shancha and her model was created by Catlione! The model has various expressions in addition to some other items, like arctic wolf ears to represent Luna and a tiny Chinese dwarf hamster, Snowball, on her shoulder! The model is downloadable from Shancha's webpage. Please do not use the model commercially as this is a rule set from Catlione. You are free to use her in videos, but please credit Catlione for the model,
There would be more LipSync models to come, so please look forward to it! If you've been following OSformula's twitter account, then you may have noticed him making a brand new MMD model for JAE VOCAL PROJECT! This time, it's for JAE-03 Canary! You can use the model for illustrations and videos! You will be able to find the link to the download site on Canary's webpage in the "Other Assets" section! If you choose to use the model, please credit and follow OSformula's rules!
A video of the model in action will be coming soon! Please look forward to it! In the meantime, we hope you like and have fun with Canary's MMD model!
It's been three years since Xiao Meihua was first released on June 3rd, 2016! Time flies by so fast! And to celebrate, JAE UTAU PROJECT worked together with a variety of different people to create a PV!
The chosen cover for her anniversary was "ヒカリ" (Hikari), an original Hatsune Miku (and Hatsune Mikuo) song written by アリアP (Aria-P). This 2009 song was one of Migi's (Meihua's voice provider) favorites and he especially adored derivative characters like Mikuo! It was then decided that this song would be covered for Meihua's anniversary and to help viewers understand the lyrics or give an idea of what it's about, we used MusicalShape's translation. But this cover was a much bigger project than any other we had ever done! A total of fifteen different artists were commissioned for the illustrations, where each of them drew an illustration on a scene from the original video. For the video itself, thirteen of them were featured: oweruru, shippy_things, Preuss (JAE), Ariaera, Purpled (JAE), Winter, Niramuchu, Crusher-P, solojune, Sartika3091, Parapa-kun, Rouss-Black, TerrainAkka, and SlightlyShredded (JAE)! Hebiscus did the YouTube and bilibili thumbnail while Pearl-chan0415's was used for the SoundCloud thumbnail! Ultimately, the varying art styles were truly stunning and give such an interesting look! It was a beautiful compilation! As for the cover itself, it was tuned by Lanttu, who did an amazing job with it and was very quick! We love the cover and are thoroughly impressed with her work! SlightlyShredded also did the mixing for the cover! Lastly, the awesome person who put it all together in a PV was DIVINITY who worked quickly and did a wonderful job! It was truly a pleasure working with her in addition to everyone else! We truly could not have this done without all of them!
As a whole, this project took almost half a year, with plannings beginning around late summer! We are very much in love with the end result and we hope you like it too!
But one more thing... Clearly you can see that there's two singers in this song: a male and a female. The female is obviously Xiao Meihua, but the male is someone you may not have seen before unless:
This male is known as "Xiao Meiye" (小梅叶)! Since "Hikari" is a song that features Miku alongside her fanmade male derivative, Mikuo, we wanted to keep to this theme. To do that, we gave Meihua her very own male derivative! In late 2016, we asked a question on Meihua's defunct Facebook page: "If Meihua was a male, what would his name be?". The question was asked for fun and one person suggested "Xiao Meiye", with the last character of Meihua's name, "Huā" (花), changed to "Yè" (叶). This basically changed the name's meaning from "Small Plum Flower" to "Small Plum Leaf". It was not until 2018 that we decided to design him, especially so he could be presented in this cover. Information about him as a character can be found on the website through Meihua's webpage! This includes a biography (which is a little different compared to his originator) and his very own terms of use! Despite this, Meiye is not treated as canon, so his design and biography can be altered from user to user. However, the terms of use will remain the same as derivatives that are based on Meihua's character must abide to her rules!
We are truly pleased and proud of the final outcome of this project! It was well worth it and we once again would like to thank everyone involved, for if it wasn't for them, it would not have been completed on time!
We have so many exciting things to show soon for the JAE UTAUs! But as usual, we cannot show them to you just yet until they are ready, so we hope you are looking forward to our future plans! Official Miis of the JAE UTAU PROJECT characters have been created by Migi and are now added to the website! You can find the QR codes in the "Other Assets" sections of the character pages! These can be imported to the 3DS and WiiU systems, and you can use them for your own adventures! You'll notice that many of the characters do not have the correct hair or eye colors. These were done on Mii Maker, which only have a small number of colors for hair, eyebrows, and eyes. However, some games allow players to customize colors. Migi has Tomodachi Life and Miitopia, two games for the 3DS. Tomodachi Life allows the player to change the haircolor and Miitopia has custom colors for hair, eyebrows, and eyes. QR codes for these games can be distributed if there is a demand for it. On the note for the Nintendo Switch however, the characters would have to be made from scratch as there is currently no way to exchange Miis unless players are nearby each other or if a Mii was saved to an amiibo. If this changes in the future, these would certainly be added to the website!
For now, we hope you enjoy the Miis and bring them with you for delightful adventures! A new MMD model for Ser0 has been created and released! Like Xiao Meihua, this model was created by OSformula. Now you can use the model for illustrations and videos! You will be able to find the link to the model's webpage in the "Other Assets" section of Ser0's page. If you choose to use OSformula's Ser0 model, please follow the rules in the read.me!
We currently do not have a video of the model in action yet but it will be coming soon! For now, please enjoy and have fun with the model! As you may have known, Xiao Meihua had a LipSync model that was once available on PRISMkidd's old DeviantART account. As their old account was deactivated due to moving to their current account, so was the download for her LipSync model. After asking PRISMkidd, we are happy to confirm that JAE UTAU PROJECT is allowed to host the download for the model! Not only that, PRISMkidd had also created a LipSync model for Ser0 by commission a few months ago. As there was no official upload at the time, we did not add it to the website. Now you can download this model from us as well. You can find Meihua's and Ser0's LipSync models on their character pages within the "Other Assets" section!
If you do plan to use these models, please follow PRISMkidd's rules and terms of use found in the read.me of each zipped folder. Don't forget to credit them properly! And of course, have fun! If you use them, please show us your work as we would all love to see it! |
